Let’s face it – not everyone can get billion-dollar design.
If you are a designer and your clients aren’t that high-end it’s possible we won’t be able resource-wise to do hands-on work for you.

Upholstery (furniture & wall)
We specialize in very high-end custom upholstery. To start we use the best materials available and have an eye for detail. We strive to deliver a level of quality that exceeds our customer’s expectations.
We do nail-heads, double welting cords, and all types of fringes and pre-made Conso cords.
Regarding custom upholstered walls, we use sound-proof insulation and the finest in finishing for the sides and edges. We have tight-fit pulled styles to make walls look very taut.

UPholstery F.A.Q.s
Q: Can you make me a custom [piece of furniture]?
A: Yes, we create all kinds of custom furniture from scratch. If you have a picture of the style of furniture piece you would like to create we can match it.
Q: How can I protect my fabric?
A: Put it in a safe deposit box… (just kidding 🙂 )
There are two ways this can be done.
1) You can ask us to treat the fabric before we start upholstering. Also some fabrics come already treated.

2) A Do It Yourself solution for already upholstered furniture is to stray it with Scotch Guard. You can find Scotch Guard at Home Depot.
Q: Can you do repairs to the wood and other materials of my furniture?
A: Yes. We can do repairs to wood, whether small cracks and blemishes (using wood filler and stain) or large cracks (using special heavy duty glues).
We can also repair problems with springs, foam and other supporting materials. (see case studies below)
Q: What can I do or add to enhance the beauty of my [furniture]?
A: A Good looking chair can become a stunning chair by adding decorative nail heads, changing the the style of the pillows, welting cord, skirt, and legs.
Case Studies:
Chair frame and spring repair.
Before:
A customer came to us with a chair that needed some frame repair. The frame on the side and the arm of this chair was damaged. We repaired it with a special heavy duty wood glue.
We also realigned the springs.

Voil?. A nicely finished chair.

A client of our Connecticut sister workroom has a winter home here in South Florida. She had us reupholster and fix these comfy wicker chairs.

Leather Repair
Do you have scratches on that new leather sofa? Or maybe the arms of your favorite leather chair are getting a bit worn? Or your leather has been stained?
SOS, corp. can clean and repair leather and vinyl furniture, auto interiors, aircraft interiors and yacht interiors.
We deep clean your leather upholstery with special professional leather cleaner. Then we restore the leather with a special conditioner that prevents cracking and premature aging.
Re-dyeing or spot re-dyeing to eliminate fading is also an option. So, if your furniture has faded don’t throw it away. We can make it look great again. And we can re-dye your furniture on-site.

Q: How can I clean/maintain my drapes?
A: To maintain your drapes you will want to vacuum them at least once every six months to remove any dust.
If your drapery becomes soiled you should carefully take it down, removing any pins and take it to a professional cleaner. Cleaning varies depending on fabric type.

Boca Raton Yacht Interiors
We do Yacht upholstery in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale as well as blinds and yacht window treatments.
We have done interior work on yachts of all sizes, including upholstery work on Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s Octopus. If you are interested in hearing about that job, call and we will refer you to the designer we worked under.
We do small scale boat upholstery as well. Done right (the only way to do it), marine upholstery requires special marine foam which is more porous than regular foam so that it dries faster.

We created this draped display (for doggy dresses). the blue bow tie style tie-back has a silver diamond-studded dog bone.
